Project Overview
The brand should convey an immersive, texturedand visually potent experience, celebratinga youthful, exuberant, yet keen, awoken andsmart energy, punctuating the archetype of theExplorer with a lively spirit and desire to converyand live That Good Life and Be A Buccaneer .Depending on market; Diaspora, Tourists/Visitorsto Island and Residing Jamaicans, mild nuancesshould be conveyed in the mood of the brand.
My Contributions
This was a concept based project at which I was the lead Graphic designer.
The rhythm of the waves. The sweet taste of salt. The feeling of the sun warming the skin. The endless possibilities. Oh, and the adventure.Our adventure started with an idea that everyone should have easy access to the traditional taste and quality of home-made Jamaican Rum Cakes. What made this idea even more powerful is our access to Jamaica’s World Famous rums. Our idea set sail on January 1, 1960 (insert correct date) with our family-sized fruit cake. The success of our journey warranted expansion which saw us include two more flavours Coconut and Original and two more sizes, pocket and share. With our success and this new expansion we have come to the realisation that our adventure is really just beginning.The Buccaneer perfectly marries a premium taste experience with a life full of adventure. We are forever young and forever explorers. Always on the quest for better, for more.Buccaneer
